What a Way to End a Season!!!!

The PHENOMENAL Stratus Elite All-Stars strutted their stuff in 2 back to back weekend competitions with the American Superstarz competition in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on April 4, 5, and 6 AND the Great Lakes Cheer National in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 12. Sure it was hard work, but being a Stratus Elite All-Star is not for the faint of heart, and our ladies are UNSTOPPABLE. In Myrtle Beach, the Stratus Lightening came in 6th in the Youth Level 2 Cheer division; the Stratus Thunder came in 2nd in the Senior Open Level 2 Cheer division; the Stratus Twisters came in 4th in the Senior Small Level 3 Cheer division; the Stratus Cyclones came in 2nd in the Open Dance Hip Hop division; the Stratus Hurricanes came in 3rd in the Senior Hip Hop division; and the Stratus Electricity came in 2nd in the Youth Hip Hop division. The Stratus Electricity came in 2nd in the Youth Hip Hop division; the Stratus Storm came in 1st in the Tiny Hip Hop division; the Stratus Lightening came in 4th in the Small Youth Level 2 Cheer division; the Stratus Rattlers came in 1st in the Youth Group Stunt division; the Stratus Twisters came in 2nd in the Small Senior All Girl Level 3 Cheer division; the Stratus Thunder came in 1st in the Senior Open Level 2 Cheer division; the Stratus Heat came in 1st in the Senior Tumble Group division; and the Stratus Blaze came in 1st in the Senior Cheer Solo division. Stratus Summer Day Camp is here!!!

The Stratus Cheernastics Center will be holding a Summer Day Camp from June 23 - August 15. The camp will operate Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 4 PM. Latchkey is available from 7 - 8 AM and 4-6 PM (Additional fees will apply). The cost of the day camp is $105/ week with a $75 registration fee. The program includes: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, gymnastics, dance, cheer, arts and crafts, games, a weekly field trip, camp t-shirt, academic enrichment and summer reading series. Come Join the 2008 Junior Olympic Summer Team!!!

Stratus Elite All-Stars will be holding try-outs for the 2008 Junior Olympic Summer Team on Sunday, April 27, 2008. Try-outs will be held at the Stratus Cheernastics Center located at 19449 W. McNichols. Athletes aged 5 - 11 years will have Cheerleading Try-outs from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM and Dance Try-outs from 2:45 - 4:00 PM. Athletes aged 12 -25 years will have Cheerleading Try-outs from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM and Dance Try-outs from 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM. There is a $10.00 Try-Out fee for one team (cheer or dance) and a $15.00 Try-out fee for both teams (cheer and dance) For additional information contact Coach Kem at 313-772-3576 or Coach Gi-Gi at 313-721-4039.

Stratus Wins Big at the Motor City Showdown Grand Championship!

The Dynamic ladies of Stratus endured 3 grueling days of stiff competition during the Great Lakes Championship Company's Motor City Showdown Grand Championship to reign supreme once again. In the dance competition, Stratus came in 3rd in the International Open Hip Hop division, 1st in the Tiny Hip Hop division, and 3rd in the Small Senior Hip Hop division. In the Cheer Competition, Stratus came in 3rd in the Tiny - Level 1 division, 9th in the Small Youth - Level 2 division, 6th in the Small Senior All Girl - Level 3 division, and 3rd in the Senior Open - Level 2 division. Stratus also participated in the specialty divisions placing 2nd in the Youth Group Stunt, 4th in the Senior Elite Female Cheer Solo, 1st in the Senior Tumble Group, 1st in the Senior Elite Tumble Group, and 4th in the Senior Dance Solo.

JamLive Detroit: Stratus Takes Home 5 Championship Banners!

On February 16, 2008 the mighty Stratus Elite All-Stars most definitely took Cobo Hall by Storm for the JamLive Competition.

The Stratus Electricity won 1st place in the Youth Hip Hop Dance division; The Stratus Hurricane won 1st in the Senior Hip Hop Dance division; The Stratus Storm won 1st in the Tiny Open Dance division; The Stratus Cyclone won 1st in the Open Dance division; The Stratus Boltz won 3rd in the Level One Tiny Cheer division; The Stratus Lightening won 4th in the Level Two Small Youth Cheer division; The Stratus Thunder won 1st in the Level Two Senior Open Cheer division; and The Stratus Twisters won 3rd in the Level Three Senior Cheer division. The phenomenal Stratus Shakers Parent Team also put on an AWESOME exhibition performance!
Stratus also took home several specialty awards:
La'joia Record of the Stratus Hurricanes won a Celebrity Standout award; The Stratus Hurricanes won a Best Diva Performance award; and The Stratus Cyclones were the Overall Dance Winner! Way to Go STRATUS!!!
